Meet Penny, a one-of-a-kind non-articulated art doll/mixed media sculpture. Standing at around 18 inches tall from the base to the top of the head and weighing approximately 5.5 pounds, Penny has a solid and sturdy feel to her.
Penny is sculpted from paper clay over an aluminum wire-stainless steel-epoxy putty armature. This armature provides her with a sturdy and durable structure. The doll is painted with acrylics and pastels. Her eyes are painted and coated with gloss varnish.
Penny’s hair is made of dyed goat mohair. The swimsuit and the hat on Penny are glued and cannot be removed.
The doll is firmly attached to a solid wood pedestal base measuring 6 x 6 x 1.5 inches. The base is painted with acrylic paint and decorated with craft sand. The base has four small rubber bumpers glued to its bottom for surface protection. These bumpers help prevent the base from scratching any surface the doll is displayed on.

* The doll must be displayed away from moist conditions, high heat, and direct sunlight. Exposure to these elements can cause damage or discoloration over time.

* Please refrain from combing the doll's hair. The hair has been styled and set, and any further manipulation may cause it to lose its shape.

* When handling the doll, it is important to use both hands. One hand should be holding the doll, while the other hand should be supporting the base.
